About The Founder
Vonlay was founded by Aaron Carlock who has over seven years of experience in providing high tech solutions for major businesses, four years of which was spent as a Project Manager doing electronic medical record (EMR) implementations for Epic Systems Corporation.
Aaron holds a BA in Public Policy and Economics from the University of Chicago.
Prior to his time working at Epic™, he spent time working for Morgan Stanley and consulting with Corporate Financial Group in Chicago.
At Epic, he led large integrated projects, owned all client implementation success for Epic’s Web Products, and drove development efforts to meet industry demands. His breadth of Epic knowledge includes 17 application certifications, an implementation coordinator role for a successful 9 application “Big Bang” go-live at a major children’s hospital, a Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) install, and several thriving Web product installs at major health care organizations all over the US.
After Epic, Aaron went to publicly traded Covance (ticker: CVD), to improve their software and instrument validation processes. These validations required complex, time consuming implementations heavily regulated by the Food and Drug Administration. He was also tasked with Software and Instrument Vendor research and selection for several of Covance’s business areas.
In 2009 and 2010, Aaron was brought in to drive the success of MyChart™ implementations at two Epic organizations. In addition to rolling out large pieces of functionality like test results release, direct scheduling, proxy access and messaging, he developed an online patient billing statement, analyzed E-visits workflows, created symptom based and history questionnaires, rolled out health maintenance and was able to craft a streamlined integrated workflow for patient business interactions from enrollment through claims.
An avid technology enthusiast, Aaron is proficient as a developer in several programming languages including: XSLT, VBScript, VB, PHP, HTML, XPath, JAVA, SQL and VBA. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs, canoeing, robotics, web development, and watching football.
